Freelance photographer based in Central Connecticut.

My location is ideal for travel within all of Connecticut and Southern New England. Western Mass (45mins), Rhode Island (60-75mins), the Hudson Valley (90mins), Southern Vermont (90mins), Albany (2hrs) and New Hampshire (2hrs), NYC+Boston (2hrs)…all points between and beyond are accessible.

In 16 years of full-time freelance, I’ve navigated thousands of commissions. I’m Part 107 drone certified. I can work solo, as part of a crew, photo editing or leading small teams in the field / in-studio. For well over a decade I’ve contributed to national outlets like The New York Times, Bloomberg, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Getty Images and many more. I also have an extensive background working for tourism boards and television clients. Full client list below.

Working for so many people with countless needs gives me a unique, cumulative perspective of the industry. It’s helped me hone my decision-making skills, accountability, adaptability, communication, and empathy for everyone involved in the image-making process.

Prior to Connecticut I freelanced for five years in Las Vegas, another five in Nashville, yet another five in New York City and before that earned a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin (The Daily Texan and Eli Reed changed everything).  My high school newspaper teacher, Mrs. Herbst, darkroom photo teacher, Ms. Hardy, and my dad’s Nikon FM kicked everything off.

Portions of my back archive are syndicated by Redux Pictures.

When not working I might be browsing used goods, at Redscroll Records, working on the house, playing guitar, driving somewhere or processing film. Most moments are filled with my beautiful wife and two sons. There is a chance I’m the biggest Simpsons fan you’ve ever met.
